Needle roller cage assemblies consist solely of a precision manufactured cage with closely spaced needle rollers and do not require an inner or outer ring. This design provides the highest load carrying capacity relative to the installation space and ensures a very rigid, backlash free bearing arrangement.
The shaft and housing must serve as raceways and be hardened accordingly. With their lightweight design, high speed capability and ease of integration into existing constructions, needle roller cage assemblies are particularly suitable for compact gearboxes, machine tools and highly dynamic systems.
