Depending on the design, they can only accommodate axial forces in one direction, which is why they are often installed in pairs – in an O or X arrangement – to carry axial loads on both sides and achieve optimum system rigidity.
Single-row angular contact ball bearings are available in open and sealed versions. The sealed versions offer protection against contamination and moisture and are pre-filled with a precisely matched grease. This minimises maintenance and extends service life.
